Summer Season
From June to October, summer is a complete change of scenery and a paradise for hikers and bikers. Hikers can experience the hiking trails, rich with Alpine flora and fauna. Whereas bikers of all skills, can take in the fresh mountain air whilst exploring the biking trails.
Nature comes alive with vibrant green forests, sapphire blue lakes and incredible sunsets. We also recommend going for a wine tasting evening at the wine bar where you can discover local wines from the Valais region. Our personal favorite is a white wine called "Petite Arvine".
Best of all, we provide a free summer pass that gives access to many local activities such as: cable car ride, tennis and minigolf course, cultural visits and public transportation in the Val d’Anniviers region.
Hiking
Experience the 490 kilometers Val d’Anniviers hiking trails, the variety of its routes, and its fresh mountain air. Grimentz is a great starting point whether you prefer easy or more advanced hikes.
Mountain Biking
Mountain bikers of all skills can discover over 200km of biking trails. Beginners can start on mountain pasture routes, while experienced cyclists are encouraged to try more vertiginous slopes.
Climbing
Grimentz offers climbing facilities for various levels. For experienced climbers, we recommend trying the Moiry via ferrata. It is graded expert but offers the most amazing views of the lake.
Tennis
Probably the most picturesque tennis court you will ever play in - set on a backdrop of majestic mountains and historical village. You have free access to the court, and we provide you with rackets and balls.
Themed Market
Every Friday, Grimentz hosts a themed market in the old village. Themes range from swiss heritage to animals to alpine horns. You'll find local produce and wine cellars that are only opened for this occasion.
Minigolf
A 16-hole course, full of exciting challenges. A really fun activity in the community and of course it is absolutely free!
