We often get asked: What kind of people come to your coliving space?
Let us introduce you to the two most common profiles of digital nomads who have stayed with us.
Profile 1: The home base escapist
This profile of coliver has a home base in a big city like Paris, London, Amsterdam or Frankfurt. They are looking for a change of scenery and new friends. They can't stand the thought of planning three weeks in advance to meet their friends for a drink (based on a - sadly - a true story). They are looking for new experiences and spontaneous people. Yes, that exists 😉.
Typically, they come to ESCAPE to get away from the daily grind of city life and find a new environment to relax, recharge, and get inspired. Skiing, hiking [or insert any type of sports activity] is the perfect way to find balance, and remote work lets them switch between work and play effortlessly. What's not to love about it?
Profile 2: The travelling addict
Next, we have a nomadic traveller who's always on the move and never knows where they'll be in two weeks. They would typically scout Airbnbs and hostels in search for new and exciting adventures. While the freedom and flexibility of the digital nomad lifestyle give them a sense of purpose and excitement, their travel plans can become exhausting after a while of not having anywhere to settle and meeting tons of new people.
We understand the struggles of finding balance while traveling, such as feeling excluded from the typical travelling community (because you work and they don’t), FOMO from missing activities (you had to say - yet again - "no" to going for a "quick errand" in the middle of the day), and the constant search for accommodation and social circles (making new friends is exhausting).
