The Villas
Yes, Villas with an S - there are two of them! While looking for the perfect coliving in Greece, we wanted spacious villas with lots of outdoor spaces.
Greek Escape is actually composed of Villa Hestia and Villa Calliope, both villas next to each other in a complex of houses, each with its private infinity pool on terraces that are connected to the outside gardens.
Villa Hestia enjoys an unobstructed view over the entire bay, and a large sun terrace with an infinity pool that makes it unique. It consists 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large kitchen, a spacious living room, and a big outdoor area with a dining table, plenty of sun loungers, terraces in front of each room, and private parking.
Villa Calliope is a stylish two-storey villa with two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms on the second floor, and a private terrace with a fantastic view over the Plakias Bay on the South side and the mountains on the North side - it is a perfect place to do rooftop exercise! On the first floor, there is one private room and one twin room with two single beds that share one bathroom; both rooms have direct access to the terrace and swimming pool area. The first floor is also where the coworking area is going to be - with a direct view of the Bay, the swimming pool, and terrace. Villa Calliope has an indoor fireplace, an outdoor kitchen, an outdoor shower, and private parking.
The shared spaces
As you step inside the villas, you are greeted by incredible natural light from the floor-to-ceiling window in the living area - all rooms have a lot of natural light as they are facing the Bay.
Villa Hestia is where you will find the heart of the community. In Villa Hestia, a fully equipped modern kitchen opens up to a large table, big enough to accommodate dinner parties! The closer you are to the view, the cozier it gets. The living room is where residents lounge (work from as well), play games, enjoy a movie, or simply chat while watching the sun go down over the bay!
In Villa Calliope, you’ll find large tables and office chairs for individual work. The space is modular, meaning it can be transformed to accommodate intense working sprints and workshops. It also has a kitchen and coffee machines so that you can access food & drinks right from your workplace!
Both houses have plenty of outdoor space and corners where you can isolate for some deep work or simply enjoy the view with a glass of wine! Also, there is perfect outdoor furniture for those of you who enjoy reading a book and being quiet.
The bedrooms
We know the importance of a comfortable private space. Each of our double bedrooms has a large double bed and a private bathroom with a rain shower. Every room has a desk for any time you do not feel like coworking or need to have a private call, as well as a balcony/terrace overlooking the pool and the bay, for that "wooaa" feeling when you wake up in the morning.
The private room has one single bed and a desk. It shares the bathroom with one other room - the twin. The twin room has two single beds and a shared bathroom with a rain shower.
No matter which room you pick, they all come with a view! It wouldn't be a proper Greek coliving without it :)
The outdoors
Yes, the home is wonderful, but outside is even better!
When the wind allowed (yes, it can get quite windy on an island), we spent a lot of time on those terraces last winter. For morning or sunset swims, after-work drinks, yoga and sport sessions, photo sessions, or simply appreciating the view, planning our next excursion!
