Being relatively new to Greece ourselves (as an operator, we have been to Greece many times!), we thought we would have a little dive into the coliving scene in the country.
There is a lot of press around the digital nomad destinations lately and Greece definitely is in the top of the favorite countries offering a rich culture, amazing weather, delicious food and warm welcoming people. But where should one live?
We have listed here the different spaces we have read about/heard of, including both long and short stay options - We will keep updating that article as we discover more coliving! Because we see Community as a key element of what makes a good coliving we tried to focus our search on spaces that also focus on bringing their residents together.
We strongly believe it is important for everyone to find the space and the community that best fit their needs and to pick the right location so we hope this might help you in your search:

Where co-working, island life, and social involvement go hand in hand.
The name says it all. It is a coworking & coliving space on the island of Lesvos, 3rd biggest island of Greece in the north east of the Aegean sea. It is a collaboration with Birds Bay which offers the accommodation (shared family and private rooms available) as well as access to a coworking space, cafe and pool. They encourage their residents to organize their own events and also run a "healing Lesvos" program and projects to protect the ocean & land.
Calergi Residence Calergi Residence is a complex of studio apartment 5 min drives from Rethymno in Crete, the largest Greek island.
In addition to regular tourist guests they also have a focus on digital nomads with fast and reliable internet and a coworking space area.
Ilior The land of the dreamers
Ilior is based in Athens and offer "coliving clusters" of private studio apartments for up to 6 people sharing large kitchen, lounge, terrace, coworking & event spaces area.
They are focusing offering flexibility and community!
Selina
If you are a seasoned digital nomad you probably know Selina already. Well, you will be happy to know they have two of their 60 locations around the world in Greece: in Athens and in Volos. They offer lots of different room options from private doubles to twins and "community rooms" shared with 4, 6 or 8 people. They offer coworking, movie room, shared kitchen, lots of activities and they are pet friendly!
Greek Escape Of course! 😉 As you may already know, we are located in Chania in Crete and we are focusing on creating a comfortable, inspiring and engaging space for remote workers and digital nomads to come to and meet like minded people. We offer private ensuite rooms with private balconies and beautiful view over the pool and sea. We have a shared lounge and working area as well as shared kitchen space. We have a live-in community manager who facilitate our residents' stay and organizes weekly professional and social events.
