Every now and then, we like sharing the stories our guests. And today, we're excited to introduce you to Sharon from the US, who stayed with us at Swiss Escape during the winter of 2023.
Sharon is a digital nomad who has been on her 5th year of travel. She has devoted her life to exploring the world and immersing herself in different cultures. Sharon has always had a passion for adventure and stepping outside of her comfort zone, which has led her to take several influential trips abroad in her young 20s. These trips inspired her to spend her life traveling and experiencing all that the world has to offer.
Originally from California, Sharon took the leap in 2018 by storing or selling all of her belongings and booking a one-way flight. Since then, she has been to 59 countries with no plans to stop. During her travels, she has met countless incredible people, but saying goodbye with no plans to cross paths again always breaks her heart.
What is she up to?
To help travelers and digital nomads stay connected to their global communities and meet new travel partners with shared plans and interests, Sharon conceptualized Overlap. Overlap is a platform that allows users to connect worldwide, and it can be found in the App Store and Play Store. She and her team are constantly working on new features and seeking feedback to make the platform even better.
