What to pack and other burning questions

Updated: Dec 8, 2022

The Greek Escape season is upon us!

With November approaching rapidly comes a lot of questions from future residents wanted to plan their fall & winter. We thought we would tackle the main ones here. Of course, feel free to have a look at our FAQ section and to contact us directly too.

What should I bring?

We would advise to always check the weather forecast in advance but in general the temperatures in the fall-winter is between 15 and 25 degrees. We would recommend:

  • Sweaters and jackets for chillier evenings and windier days (we are, after all, on an island).

  • Don't forget dresses, shorts, t-shirts and swimwear for "Indian summer" days.

  • Bring some good shoes for long walks or even hikes as well.

  • There are many beaches to discover and you might want to pack some water shoes if you want to be extra comfortable exploring all of them

You can leave the towels and sheets at home. We've got you covered (pun intended).

How many people will be there?

It's hard to give you an exact number but know that we can host a maximum of 12 guests at once, which we believe (and know from experience) is a good number to create a lovely sense of community and we can guarantee you will not be alone.

I want a private room.

You've got it, all our rooms are private (and ensuite!)

Read more about the villas in our "step inside" article. You can also have a better look at the whole villa through our virtual tour.

How remote are the villas?

It is true that when you look at our pictures it might seem like we are on top of a mountain shielded from everything and everyone. It's not the case! We are in the residential area of Chania in the neighborhood of Chalepa. Shops and restaurants are walking distance and we have neighbors.

Do I need a car?

As mentioned above we are not isolated. However, a car is a great way to explore the island that has so much to offer. You will probably be able to ride with another resident who has a car but if you prefer to get your own, we have started a partnership with a rental company offering day/weekly/monthly rates.

Is the internet connection good?

We know it is a big question mark for a lot of digital nomads and remote workers in Greece and it is something that is on top of our priority list. We have Wi-Fi in our villas. And we provide hotspots with unlimited data in case the connection drops.

How long can I stay?

We definitely recommend at least a month, not only because there is so much to do in Crete, but also because the longer you stay the stronger the relationships you build and the greater sense of Community! Obviously we understand we all have places to be and things to do so we are flexible when it comes to arrival-departure dates. Have a look at our booking page and do not hesitate to get in touch!
